IOLStar EDOF
The IOLStar EDOF is a recent innovation in the field of optics, featuring a Diffraction Small Aperture (DSA) design with two diffraction grooves within a small central zone measuring approximately 2mm.
The advantage of diffraction optics is that light is focused into distinct foci at far and other distances, enabling an extended field of view while maintaining sufficient image quality for sharp vision throughout the entire field of view.
The DSA Platform is distinguished by the following characteristics:
- It provides adequate image quality for sharp vision during both day and night.
- It has an enhanced vision range of approximately from at least 60 cm to far, making it suitable for intermediate distances such as a computer monitor, vehicle dashboard, cooking, eating, etc.
- It exhibits photic effects like halos and glare, akin to those of a monofocal IOLs.
